centrifugal governor

centrifugal governor
A governor that uses the centrifugal pressure to govern system output. Centrifugal governors are used in fuel and lubrication systems and for controlling engine RPM. The illustration shows a centrifugal governor in underspeed, overspeed, and on-speed condition.
Schematic diagrams indicating the manner in which the governor regulates the flow of oil to and from the constant-speed propeller.
